Easter market was opened on the Hviezdoslav square in Bratislava Old Town on Saturday, 27 by the self-government. Over 30 traditional stalls grew along the promenade from the Music House to Fish square. The stalls have various trinkets and gifts on sale, complementing the special pre-Easter atmosphere. Sellers offer traditional craft products bound for the Easter holidays. Especially decorated Easter eggs, decorated fresh spring sprays, lambs and other baking Easter bread, folk statements from the twigs, leather or porcelain. Although, the stalls also offer traditional mead, this Easter market does not have the same character as the Christmas market with respect to traditional gastronomic foods as “Gypsy Liver” pork burger, spicy roasted sausages, bread with lard and onion. This event is advisable occasion for all housewives who do not have a lot of time to decorate typical ornamental fittings that are specific for this time of the year through the history. There is a space to choose from a wide decorative and consumer offers for the upcoming holidays.
