One of the oldest, but the famous world circus is the glorious Czech circus Humberto. He was constituted in 1857, and he was called Henry. In 1955, he was nationalized and renamed to circus HUMBERTO – Czechoslovak circuses and varieties. After the privatisation in 1991 brothers Navrátil obtain the trade mark at an auction to their ownership.
In 1988 Czechoslovak television filmed the serial Circus Humberto which had twelve episodes. He was filmed by the novel of writer Eduard Bass. He travelled with circus two years and collected the experiences which was used in this serial.

Everybody who will visit him, he can find there 80 head of animals. For example: 15 lions who are the biggest pride of circus, brown bear called Miša and Boris, two-humped and one-humped camels, goats, horses, llamas, donkeys, zebras and poodles. Animals every day consume 50 kilos oats, 30 kilos molasses and 50 kilos carrots.
The performance endure approximately 150 minutes, including 15 minutes break during whose you can visit the circus ZOO. If you want you can take a photo with animals.
