BANDIDAS

It is the year 1880. The lawless Wild West stretches into Mexico. Everything seems to divide Sara (Salma Hayek), the daughter of a rich banker, and Maria(Penélope Cruz), raised in a family of poor farmers, until Tyler Jackson, a representative of the New York Bank and Trust, unites them in tragedy, devastating both women’s families in order to take illegal control of Mexican lands in the name of the expansion of the U.S. railroad system. Determined to revenge the attacks on their fathers and protect the peasants‘ lands, Sara and Maria become bank robbers, holding up every Bank and Trust subsidiary in the region. Quentin, a novice police inspector, is sent to the scene to arrest the young women. He is soon won over to the cause of the two beautiful women. Meanwhile, Jackson and his men learn to fear the guns of the two women who have become known throughout the country as the „Bandidas“.

LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE

In almost every teenager’s life there comes a time when you look at your family and thing: “Who are these people? Was I not born into the wrong family?!” This is one of several important ideas in the oscar-winning movie, Little Miss Sunshine, released in 2006. In this family, Dad is trying to become famous for his ideas on how to be successful. Grandpa is old and tired and incidentally addicted to heroin. Uncle Frank, a scholar who is also gay, has just tried to commit suicide. Dwayne, the teenager, is so disgusted with life that he has stopped speaking entirely. Mom is nervously trying to keep everyone happy. And then there is 7 years old Olive, a chubby, clumsy girl with glasses who desperately wants to win the Little Miss Sunshine children’s beauty contest. So the whole family drives 900 miles for the contest. The strongest message in this film is the fact that Olive already is Little Miss Sunshine. She does not need a beauty prize because she already is a beautiful person inside, and she does what she loves-to dance, without stopping-no matter what her judges think of her. It is her naïve, sweet goodness in the midst of absurdity that makes this movie so special and unforgettable.

London transport

The big cities such as London have to have the elaborate system of transport, because there are a lot of cars and also many people who have to move from one place to other. When we think about London’s transport, there are more images that cross our minds, for example: London’s black taxis, typical London double-deckers and the London underground, which is one of the oldest subway systems in the world. The public transport network in London is one of the most expensive in the world.
Because London was awarded the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, a total of 7 billion pounds will be spent on refurbishing and expanding the city’s links, mainly on the London Underground. By 2013, a new service called Crossrail is due to open. A Cross River Tram is also in planning. It will depart from the southern suburbs, cross the River Thames, go through the City London, and continue its journey to the northern suburbs. It is said that it will be the world’s longest tram route.
Although London transport has a very high level, they want to still improve it.

Tower Bridge

The capital of England, London, has a lot of famous landmarks. Surely, one of the most distinctive is the gothic Tower Bridge. But do you know why is has this name? Or how old it is?
Some people suppose that the Tower Bridge has name according to the Tower of London, which is situated near this bridge. The name is not for this but for its two distinctive towers. The reason for the two towers is because at the time it was built London was still very important port. The lowest bridge over the Thames was originally London Bridge and for a long time they did’t build one further down because it would have caused problems for shipping. But there was so much traffic that London Bridge could’t cope with it. That is why they decided to build one that would open. The bridge looks very old, but it was completed in 1894.
Nowadays the metal parts are painted blue, but originally they were chocolate brown. In 1977 they became a patriotic red, white and blue as part of the celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II’s Silver Jubilee. There is also a museum in the bridge, which opened in 1982.
The central part was designed to be raised so that ships could pass through easily.
In my view the Tower Bridge belongs between the most interesting memories in London and I recommend everyone for see it.

Ballroom dances

Each of us had experience when we were walking solemnly to the floor with his partner at School ball. In that time we have encountered something extraordinary – Cha-cha, Jive, Slowfox, Waltz ... We learnt all of these dances and with the noble introduction we showed our skills to our is parents, friends, acquaintances ...

History
Dances, as we know them today, originated from two different types of dances: the standard dances and Latin dances.

Standard dances have appeared on the scene first. They owe its existence to a new melody, originating from America, where they came into the world of early 20th century. New melodies of African-American origin were given the name ragtime. American dance audience immediately responded to this exciting music made up of many unknown wild dances.

Charleston has become a hit in a short time hit, but the other dances went out of fashion quickly. Nevertheless, ragtime and more refined musical styles, which arose a few years later, revolutionized the basic structure of ballroom dances around the world. Until then French dance masters taught dance based on the five positions of the feet, which were also used in classical ballet.

Ragtime meant the beginning of "common" partner dance based on natural movement such as walking. The basis of the ballroom dance scene now consists of 10 dances, which are also included in international competitions. They are: English waltz, Slowfox, Quickstep, Tango (the standard dances), and samba, Cha-cha, Rumba, Pasodoble, Jive (so-called Latin American dances).

Between 1920 and 1930 a group of British professional dancers has developed four dances: English Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep and Tango. It appeared that those dances suited to the audience the best and they also suited to the dance halls to popular music of those times the best.

Dangerous diseases

This world is full bad diseases, so I decided that I explain you some from their.

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects your airways. The airways are the tubes
that carry air in and out of your lungs. If you have asthma, the inside walls of your airways are inflamed (swollen). The inflammation (IN-fla-MAY-shun) makes the airways very sensitive, and they tend to react strongly to things that you are allergic to or find irritating. When the airways react, they get narrower, and less air flows through to your lung tissue. This causes symptoms like wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), coughing, chest tightness, and trouble breathing, especially at night and in the early morning. Asthma cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it so that they have few and infrequent symptoms and can live active lives.
A heart attack occurs when the supply of blood and oxygen to an area of heart muscle is blocked, usually by a clot in a coronary artery. Often, this blockage leads to arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat or rhythm) that cause a severe decrease in the pumping function of the heart and may bring about sudden death. If the blockage is not treated within a few hours, the affected heart muscle will die and be replaced by scar tissue.
A heart attack is a life-threatening event. Everyone should know the warning signs of a heart attack and how to get emergency help. Many people suffer permanent damage to their hearts or die because they do not get help immediately.
Tetanus, also known as lockjaw, is a serious but preventable disease that affects the body's muscles and nerves. It typically arises from a skin wound that becomes contaminated by a bacterium, which is often found in soil. Tetanus often begins with muscle spasms in the jaw (called trismus), accompanied by difficulty swallowing and stiffness or pain in the muscles of the neck, shoulders, or back. These spasms can spread to the muscles of the abdomen, upper arms, and thighs.
Pneumonia is a lung infection that can be caused by different types of germs, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Although different types of pneumonia tend to affect people in different age groups, pneumonia is most commonly caused by viruses. Some common symptoms include: fever, chills, cough, unusually rapid breathing, vomiting, chest pain, loss of appetite and so.

Hot trend: colored jeans

Also, this summer will be full of colors. And the variability didn’t avoid jeans, a basic piece of clothing of every woman. Eighties are back and with them narrow jeans in rainbow colors!

Colored jeans literally conquer the world. Fashion designers contest who will bring "jeans trousers” in even courageous colors. Celebrities simply love them and dress for every occasion. Because to fall in love with them is no problem. They are playful, funny and enormously sexy. Which woman would refuse them?

"Mrs Fashion" prepared for us a small decoy. If you don’t own a perfect figure, you should avoid narrow jeans in colors. Their perfect cigarette cut can shear beautiful curves of female body, but on the other hand, can very false highlight its shortcomings. Follow the rule that jeans have to suit you and feel good in it.

Despite many efforts to integrate jeans to the evening elegance, even in this case, colored jeans are suitable mainly for daily wear, use them for informal meetings with friends, or for shopping. They quickly became the part of urban outfit, now very popular in Slovakia.

What colors are trendy? Simply all. Passionate red, romantic pink, original blue, green calming, playful blue, innocent white. But watch out for color combinations!

Colored jeans are here and you have the brilliant opportunity to try out celebrity style on your own skin. Add at least one foolishly-colored jeans in your wardrobe!

This representation of automobile news brings a lot of questions about the third wave of car-scrapping and from the exhibitors point of view it is a really adequate place for special exhibit offers. This 19th year-class is special and exceptional one mainly because of the financial problems in a car industry. European Union is the world’s biggest producer of cars so it is necessary to say that an automobile-show should be interested in a process of solving the problems of car industry. Every year-class of automobile-show offers also a rich concomitant program besides the attractive exhibit premieres that assumes a specialistic and laical public. Visitors can see popular crash-tests, traffic playgrounds and tuning centre. These five days with cars also prepare a special section of caravans, recreational vehicles and veteran cars. GEORGE ORWELL-ANIMAL FARM

George Orwell, the pseudonym of Eric Arthur Blair was a British novelist, essayist and critic. Animal Farm is a political allegory. Orwell described the generation living in the early days of the Russian Revolution, but the moral the book teaches can be applied on recent days, too. After driving the farmer Mr. Jones, who represents Tsar Nicholas II, the animals have taken over the farm and established a “People`s Democracy”. Soon comrade Napoleon (Stalin), one of the pigs, declares himself to be their leader. Their state is based on the principle: “Four legs good, two legs bad”. Some time later, Snowball (Trotsky), another pig and one of the chief revolutionaries, who has been awarded the decoration “Animal Hero, First Class“ is denounced by Napoleon as a traitor and is chased from the farm. Over the course of time, the pigs develop into a ruling class with all the privileges for which they had hated Mr. Jones and assume the role of dictators. The original slogan of the animals, „All animals are equal“, was slightly changed by adding some words: „All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others“… The book was written over sixty years ago, but its idea is still topical, as today`s Napoleons are always ready to misuse the common people and apply their own justice.

. Slovaks are not interested in the elections of the European parliament

Slovaks have chosen their re-elected president in recent presidential elections a few days ago. Nowadays, Slovaks should decide who belongs to the most interesting representatives that should represent Slovak Republic in parliament of European Union. Elections of European parliament’s representatives will realize on June, 6. People can choose from 17 political subjects. It is necessary to say that these elections are important because of future not only our state but also our one. According to expectations, only one third of righteous voters is decided to vote. Opinion poll in states of European Union showed that confidence in institutions of EU rapidly decreased in last months. The belief in Parliament of EU, situated in Strasburg and Brusel, signified only 45 percent of respondents. More than 60 percent of asked people answered that their vote also does not change anything. Only 45,7 percent of voters attended the elections in 2004 that was the rock-bottom attendance. The financial crisis, increased unemployment and inflation are considered by the most important reasons why people show their apathy towards European elections. We hope that the result of these elections will be similar to attendance of voters and collected outcome in recent presidential elections.

Colorado

Colorado became the 38th US state on August 1, 1876. This country is a vast territory with the numerous natural wonders of the Rocky Mountains as well as unique Anasazi dwellings in Mesa Verde. I have chosen this American country, because there is the beautiful nature which is connected with the great cities. The capital is Denver. There is the largest airport in U.S., which covers 88 square km. Denver is nicknamed the “Mile High Manhattan”. The downtown has a lot to offer. The main street, the 16th Street Mall, provides great opportunities for shopping and it is the heart of Denver’s business, culture and so on. The Denver Art Museum owns 30000 art objects, which including the world’s collection of Native American artwork. The historic museum tells story about miners, who have looked for gold or silver, about cowboys and Indians, who have lived there many year ago. No far from museums is the US Mint. There is The Rocky Mountains National Park in Colorado. The famous ski resort of Aspen is in the Rocky Mountains. Many celebrities spend their winter holidays in there. But Aspen is famous for one more thing – the largest silver nugget in North America was unearthed here. Its weight was 828 kilograms. This country conceals a lot of natural wonderments.

Canterbury cathedral

Canterbury cathedral is one of the most illustrious examples of Gothic architecture in Britain. It is the administrative centre of the Church of England. The Cathedral has been the seat of an archbishop since it was founded in 597. In this year St. Augustine was sent from Rome to convert the Anglo-Saxons to Christianity. He was its first archbishop. There have been almost 600 British archbishops since the time of St. Augustine.
Of the original building was destroyed by fire in 1067 and rebuilt in the Normal style. The present appearance of the interior is largely the work of William of Sens, who designed the choir and apse. Many other artists help to create the Canterbury cathedral and artistic works in this cathedral. Today, it welcomes a lot of people, mainly students from universities and colleges, who have visited daily choral worship. The cathedral is also the place of musical and other events which attracting visitors from all the corners of the world.

. dance with stars

Dance-fever arrogated the Slovakia. Televisional spring is connected to new programmes, broadcasts, televised in prime-time. Nowadays, one of the most spoken and most recollected is Dance with stars, in Slovak language called ‘Let’s Dance’. The main idea consists in dancing famous people from showbusiness, sport and culture with professional dancers. In my point of view, this program belongs to the most successful that have ever been transmitted on Slovak televisions. The third continue began on our television screens on April 12. The previous two seasons were slowed down by femcee Adela Banášová and moderator Martin ‘Pyco’ Rausch. In these days, dance achievements will be completed by word, spoken by Pyco and Zuzana Fialová that became dance hostess in backstage. . tennis occasion outside of the tennis-court

Roger Federer, professional tennis player who is currently ranked world number 2 and belongs to the most famous and most successful sportsmen in the world, has changed his marital status. In my opinion, Saturday on April 11, 2009 can be considered by the most important match that Roger Federer has won in his private life. Roger and his Slovak girlfriend Miroslava Vavrinecová got married in Roger’s hometown of Basel, surrounded by a small group of close friends and family. ‘It had been a beautiful spring day and an incredibly joyous occasion,’ said Roger to worldwide media. It is not a secret that this newly married couple infanticipates a birth of their child for a couple of months. Probably the coming of small critter became an accelerator of their decision to seal doom partnership that has lasted from the Olympic Game in Sydney 2000. On the other side, honeymoon is outside of their next married weeks because Roger has on program lots of tournaments, so a romance during common honeymoon has to wait. All Roger’s fans hope that Roger will be a perfect and careful dad and this occasion supports Roger in his professional life.

. Slovaks decided

Ivan Gašparovič, the incumbent president, won the second round of the presidential election. The candidate backed by ruling party Smer and the Slovak National Party will be Slovak president for another five years. According to the last expectations, Ivan Gašparovič gains more votes than Iveta Radičová, the joint candidate of the parliamentary opposition parties. Our re-elected president received 55,53 percent of the votes and Iveta Radičová finished with 44,46 percent of the votes. Ivan Gašparovič became the first Slovak president that allegiared his position of the head of state. The unofficial results were published shortly after midnight and Iveta Radičová congratulated the old-new head of state and assumed the results of the elections. Just a few days before the second rules, observes suggested that Iveta Radičová can be considered by the candidate that has a chance most likely to change the way the role of president in our country. Probably, the view of female president or democratic changes the atmosphere in society were one of the most important results why people decided to elect our old president. Slovaks are famous for its conservatism. So, we will see that our choice was right in the nearby future.

. Easter

Easter, it is Christian holy day in March or April, this year in April, when Christians remember the death of Christ, his resurrection and his return to life. Easter also means the beginning of the spring and hopefully and end to winter weather and also this holiday can be characterized by easter eggs and lent. Easter eggs used as a symbol of fertility and rebirth. Lent begins on Ask Wednesday and actually begins 40 days before Easter Sunday. People should give up for eating meat, chocolate, or drinking alcohol. Maunday Thursday is a day before Good Friday at Easter. Good Friday is the day before Easter Sunday. It is a day when a Christ was crucified. On Easter Sunday, in the morning people go to church for a special Easter service. It is necessary say that habits at Easter are different in some countries. Easter in Slovakia is celebrated on Easter Monday. It is also a special occasion for most families. It is normal for boys and men to take a willow canes, girls paint easter eggs. On Easter Monday boys go house to house and they pour buckets of water over surprised girls or women or spray girls with perfume, some men chase after girls and they whip them with a willow cane. When boys are finished, they are rewarded with painted eggs, chocolate eggs or with money. This easter tradition of splashing is really disadvantage for girls. I wish you a pleasant survival of Easter holiday, full of peace, breather and family peacefulness.

Are you the television maniac?

Did you realize sometimes how much time do you spend in front of television? Try to count it. It’s terrible, isn’t it? Only one movie has about an hour and a half. If you count some news to this, some rest serial, you climb up to quite a high number.

Because the time is still faster it suddenly appear, that the time spent before the TV is a rare luxury. The claims for man grow, also the obligations, but the day still has only 24 hours.

How much time spend before the TV?

Magic box with sound and pictures - who could resist? It can attract, advise, how we should make up, what to wear, we get valuable information about public events, and mediates to us the emotions and important information about the latest advances in science and technology... However, increasingly sitting before this miraculous discovery in our lives inconspicuously steal health problems.

There is the wonder – we still sit at home, without fresh air, without moving, just looking at the flashing screen and we crunch the chips or other goody. Conclusion? On the one hand, thanks to a TV we get so needed knowledge about the time in which we live, on the other hand, we’re becoming dependent on the media. This is a malicious "disease" that we often realize in extreme stage - that is when we discover that we were once again the whole weekend sitting and watched the serials, instead of we have lived our lives!

Successful people do not sit before the TV!

Note lifestyles of successful people. Do they sit the hours before television? No. They do not have the time. They think, live, do not have time to deal with problems of strangers. They focused on yourself and did well.
