Manners, characteristic and mentality of Russians

Every country in the world has many areas where people have one’s manners, mentality, characters and many other ways. Too, in Slovakia we have much this area. For example: “Zemplínčania, Oravčania, Šarišania, Russians” and many other.

I live in part of Slovakia where live Russians and Šarišania, but I have near to Russians. Russians have other manners than people which live in our capital city. Here people have a lot of understanding for people problems. When I have a problem my friends or other people help me. But in the big cities people are busy, nervous and they haven’t time, because they have much work. In my town where live Russians they haven’t much money because there isn’t much work and so people there live quietly life. People there haven’t much opportunity for a work and so they must to live abroad. They must work at home and they breed animals, for example they breed: cows, rabbits, goats.... And so they have meal: meat, milk, cheese and butter. People which are Russians are very social. They like dancing and singing. They have like a folk music. Russians have many festivals where they present their manners. Russians have typical food too. For example: doughnuts, soup with mushrooms called “mačanka, bobaľky” and many others. Typical for Russians is that they live his life according to “Julianskeho” calendar. They have the Christmas day and the Easter day is relocate for two weeks later.

I am very happy that I live here because, Russians are people which are very lovely, hospitable and they help me when I need it.

Dangerous diseases

This world is full bad diseases, so I decided that I explain you some from their.

Asthma is a chronic disease that affects your airways. The airways are the tubes
that carry air in and out of your lungs. If you have asthma, the inside walls of your airways are inflamed (swollen). The inflammation (IN-fla-MAY-shun) makes the airways very sensitive, and they tend to react strongly to things that you are allergic to or find irritating. When the airways react, they get narrower, and less air flows through to your lung tissue. This causes symptoms like wheezing (a whistling sound when you breathe), coughing, chest tightness, and trouble breathing, especially at night and in the early morning. Asthma cannot be cured, but most people with asthma can control it so that they have few and infrequent symptoms and can live active lives.
A heart attack occurs when the supply of blood and oxygen to an area of heart muscle is blocked, usually by a clot in a coronary artery. Often, this blockage leads to arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat or rhythm) that cause a severe decrease in the pumping function of the heart and may bring about sudden death. If the blockage is not treated within a few hours, the affected heart muscle will die and be replaced by scar tissue.
A heart attack is a life-threatening event. Everyone should know the warning signs of a heart attack and how to get emergency help. Many people suffer permanent damage to their hearts or die because they do not get help immediately.
Tetanus, also known as lockjaw, is a serious but preventable disease that affects the body's muscles and nerves. It typically arises from a skin wound that becomes contaminated by a bacterium, which is often found in soil. Tetanus often begins with muscle spasms in the jaw (called trismus), accompanied by difficulty swallowing and stiffness or pain in the muscles of the neck, shoulders, or back. These spasms can spread to the muscles of the abdomen, upper arms, and thighs.
Pneumonia is a lung infection that can be caused by different types of germs, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Although different types of pneumonia tend to affect people in different age groups, pneumonia is most commonly caused by viruses. Some common symptoms include: fever, chills, cough, unusually rapid breathing, vomiting, chest pain, loss of appetite and so.

Slovakia

We live in a beautiful, small country which is called The Slovak republic, so I decided that I profile her.

She is situated in the Middle of Europe and that’s why some people also call it ‘The heard of Europe’. Slovakia has five neighbours: Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Austria and Czech Republic. The capital city of Slovakia is Bratislava.

In Slovakia there are many things to see whether natural or historical. At first I would like to mention The High and Low Tatras which are situated in the east and middle Slovakia. You can see many wonders there like for example glamorous lakes, amazing waterfalls and peak. And next you can visit caves or Slovak paradise.

We can see a lot of historical facilities, too. First of all there are a lot of castles for example Spiš castle, Betliar, Bratislava caste, Orava castle which are situated all over Slovakia. Secondly in Slovakia there are many museums and memorials dedicated to the memory of the Second World War.

Moreover there are many places of interests like Aqua city Poprad, sky centres or baths. So many people can find right places for their hobbies like skiing, swimming or other relaxing activities.

Food in Slovakia is prepare mostly of potatoes, flour and eggs. Typical Slovak food is “Bryndzové halušky” which I recommend to try. Also you can try here “Pirohy”, potatoes pancakes or “Mačanka”.

I recommend you try all things which I have written here further more I would recommend you to visit Vlkolínec or Bardejov which belong to UNESCO.

Friend - my other self

We can see them everywhere. Sometimes they cross a street frequently than lovers. When we meet them, we can hear funny laugh and conspiratorial spark. The Little girls who are playing children games, teenagers who say about their first love, students on the university who beer about hard exams, mothers who supervise to their children or old women who are sitting on the bench. Simply, they are the best friends. Neither of them can imagine their life without each other. The big friendships begin anywhere and anytime.
The best friends comprise in our life the important part. They help us when we need it, and still they back up for us. If we have a problem we can call them every time. We are supported by them and can say them our secrets and other important things from our life. When we talk with them or tell them our problems we have a better mood and have poise in the soul. And so, sometimes our best friend became our personally psychologist.
People who find their best friend can be happy because they are often our kindred spirit.

Chocolate

I don’t know, if I go around the world I will find a person who doesn’t like chocolate. It is delicacy not only for children, but also for adults. Although people reduce consumption because of overweight, disease or other reasons they often can’t resist it. On the other hand the chocolate has some advantages for example it contains a lot of vitamins and proteins. It is good remedy for our nerves and also brings us energy.
The word chocolate comes from the language Nahuatls, aboriginal population of central Mexico.
Types of chocolate:
- plain chocolate
- milky chocolate
- white chocolate
- chocolate with different flavours
- blebby chocolate
- chocolate without sugar
- stuffed chocolate…

Even though chocolate has lot of positives effects, but we shouldn’t eat it in a big amount. If we eat chocolate lashings it could lead to chocolate addiction.

It means that consumption chocolate is useful for our health only it isn’t drug for us.

Svidník

I decided that in my other contribution I will be writing about my hometown which is called Svidník.
It is a town in eastern Slovakia and it is located in the Ondava Highland, at the confluence of Ondava and Ladomírka rivers, located around 20 km from the Dukla Pass (Polish border) and around 55 km north-east of Prešov. It has a population of 12,384 (2005).
From the history I want to commemorate that Svidník arose in 1944 by merger of formerly two independent municipalities of Nižný (eng: Lower) Svidník and Vyšný (eng: Upper) Svidník. In Svidník we have a lot of historical and cultural facilities as a Gallery of Dezider Milly, open air museum where are beautiful, wooden houses and old wooden church, as well in Svidník we have two museums (first is Military museum where we can find things from the first and second World War and the second museum is called Museum of Ukrainian-Rusyn culture). A lot of statues which are placed about the town commemorate old history of this town. Too in Svidník there are 5 elementary schools and seven secondary schools. For young people there is a cinema, disco bars, coffee bars, swimming pool and many other places where they can spent their free time.
I think that Svidník is beautiful town with many cultural facilities, good and friendly people and many natural beauties which are interesting for many people. I am very happy that I was born in this little and wonderful town and that I spend my childhood here :)
